Emergency Rights was founded by Awilda Cordero, a community leader and over 20-year resident of the South Bronx. She grew up witnessing people in her community struggling to find help for serious problems and hardships. Over time she discovered that there are many resources available, and a great part of the challenge is to simply make people aware of them.
